Mountain Dream
Mountain Dream is a complex of privately owned apartments and a 4 star hotel which is open in the winter season. The hotel has an 18m diameter round swimming pool, spa centre, hot tub/jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, a fitness centre, business centre, children’s play room, bar and restaurant , all of which can be used by our guests (some for a small charge). When we visited in February 2012 we were delighted with the quality of the cuisine served in the restaurant by some very helpful and friendly waiters. The hotel service’s department manage F14. In winter there is a 24 hour concierge service and in summer an onsite caretaker will be there to help.
Our Apartment
F14 is probably one of the best positioned apartments for the views as it is situated on the fourth floor of Block F and commands beautiful views over both the valley and the mountains from its two balconies. There is an electronic entrance to the block and a lift. With mainly single beds it is ideal for a group of friends but because we have young grandchildren we have made the apartment child friendly too.
The apartment comprises:
Bedroom 1: Two single beds with ample storage space beneath (they can be pushed together to make a large double bed), a combined wardrobe and drawers, bedside tables and lights, mirror and shelf. The full width balcony enjoys a view of the mountains.
Bedroom 2: This is a larger room and has room for the same equipment as in bedroom 1 but can also accommodate a cot or fold up bed which is suitable for a child (1 cot and 2 fold up beds are kept in the apartment).
Main Room: Double convertible settee, another 2-seater settee, a table with 6 chairs, flat screen, wall mounted TV with some English-speaking channels, DVD player and a variety of DVDs, internet point (access available from the hotel for a small weekly fee), coffee table and bookshelf unit. There is also a wood-burning fire.
Kitchen area: Fan oven with a grill, 4-ring electric hob, extractor fan, integrated refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and adequate utensils and crockery.
A small balcony is shared with bedroom 2 and overlooks the valley.
Hall: a large cupboard/wardrobe. It is also possible to have the cot and/or fold up bed here and still be able to exit the apartment.
Shower room and a second toilet room.
For the Young: A modern travel cot, two easy to erect, adult sized fold up Black's camp beds (tip-resistant) , folding high chair and baby bath. The balconies have had extra planks of wood fitted to increase the children’s safety.
Other available items: Hairdryer, tower cooling fan, iron, ironing board, clothes airer, folding chairs for the balcony, four plastic armchairs for very young children, a variety of games and books suitable for various ages, information files.
